Things I've wanted to be when I grow up:
I wanted to be a wife and mother
I want to be an artist.
I want to be a writer
I wanted to be a rancher's wife like my Aunt Carrie
And does she look like she has a clue about what life will hold for her? I was 18 years old, living in Santa Fe and completely lost when this picture was taken.
You might have been lost, you may even still be lost, and now you know at least to this point what life had in store, but of course, none of us know what's ahead..but I'll tell you one thing for sure.
Sandy - if we knew we'd probably refuse to leave the womb. Ha! Thanks for the comment about my hair, you may not believe this but it had just been cut. In school I could sit on my hair.
I think we were all lost--we just didn't know it, thank God. Some of us were navigating by instinct; others were just drifting and hoping to land right side up. I wonder if anyone had a real, concrete plan that actually worked out?
